Daily Life Galleries  begin with the large-format wall paintings from the tomb of the King’s Chancellor and Commander Iti, who chose to be buried at Gebelein. The scenes illustrate the delivery of funerary offerings, the slaughter of an animal (magically guaranteeing provisions for Iti) and other daily life events such as men delivering grain to granaries, cattle breeding, the harvesting of grapes (wine making in Egypt was the preserve of royalty and of the wealthy) and the making of bread and beer.
