Funerary formulae for the deceased. The tombs functioned as the eternal abodes for the dead. The rite of  food offering chiefly illustrated on  tablets (stele)  furnisched the deceased with food and drink for eternity. Sculptures of the deceased set up in tombs and temples are also shown here. The inscribed texts comprise prayers and biographical information.
