History of the Museum and Tomb of Kha.

The visit begins with a most interesting masterpiece of the Egyptian Museum, the contents from the Tomb of Kha and his wife Merit. This is a rare example of an intact tomb whose high quality furnishings constitute enough material to make a small museum on its own.

Through the entrance and to the right is a showcase and text panels dedicated to the history of the Museum and the personalities who played a part in the creation and subsequent growth of the collections.
