Tomb of the Unknown is an interesting grave group from the period of the pyramids (Old Kingdom).

Chapel of Maia and his wife Tamit. The decorated chapel was transferred to the Museum in 1905 as a result of the excavations of Ernesto Schiaparelli at Deir el-Medina. The stele of the same couple had already entered the Museum via the Drovetti Collection in 1824.

Tomb of Kha and Merit. The Museo Egizio owes much of its renown to the rich intact tomb of the architect Kha and his wife Merit. The quantity and quality of the material is sufficient to create a museum on its own.
