Special guided tours for families: MAY 2012

Every Saturday and Sunday in May, the Egyptian Museum offers to children and their families the opportunity to enjoy and discover the ancient Egyptian civilization thanks to several theme-based routes trough the museum.

GUIDED TOURS


Yuesday 01st May, 2012 at 10:30 am A CASA DI KHA”, a guided tour into the typical life and habits of a family lived 3.000 years ago. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)

 

Saturday 05th and Sunday 06th May, 2012 at 10:30 am, “GEROGLIFICI…CHE EMOZIONE!” a tour that  discloses to children and adults the mysterious writing of the ancient Egyptians. 1 hour, € 3,50 (only in Italian, for family).

 

Saturday 12nd and Sunday 13rd May, 2012 at 10:30 am  UNA FAME DA OLTRETOMBA”: menu for both body and spirit”, a guided tour dedicated to the value reserved to food from the Pharaohnic civilization. What did they eat at those times? And what did they reserved to Pharaoh or to his journey in the hereafter? 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)

 

Sunday 13th May, 2012 10:40 am, LA MIA FAMIGLIA EGIZIA: SPECIALE MAMMA”, a special guided tour for the whole family followed by an educational lab in which children can create their own family tree in hieroglyphic! The itinerary shows the social relationships and the family ties of a typical Egyptian family at those times, and underlines how important the mother’s role was. 1 hour tour + 1 hour lab, € 7, 00 (only in Italian, for family)

 

Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May, 2012 at 10:30  “ANIMALI O DEI?” In the Ancient Egypt the divine presence is felt in everyday life. How could we recognize the way and art in which Gods express their huge power? A visit through the Museum’s halls will show children and their families the feature of each God. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)

 

Saturday 19th May, 2012 at 09:00 pm  “ALLA SCOPERTA DELL’ANTICO EGITTO”,  a guided tour which brings you through the ancient and at the meantime fabulous Egyptian civilization, discovering differences and similarities with our nowadays’ life . 1 hour and 30 minutes, € 4,00 (only in Italian, for adults).

 

Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May, 2012 at 10:30  A CASA DI KHA”, a guided tour into the typical life and habits of a family lived 3.000 years ago. 1 hour, € 3.50 (only in Italian, for family)
